House System

Student’s of Stds l to X are divided into four houses. To develop leadership qualities, Self-reliance and team spirit, students are grouped under different House, distinguished by the names which signify their ideals. The house system provides a good platform for the holistic development of the students. It forms the basis of all competitions in and promotes team spirit, group loyalty and healthy competition The students are divided into four houses. They are:

Each house is headed by a Captain and an Assistant Captain, who derive inspiration and guidance from their House Mistress .The House Mistresses/ Master, Captains and Assistant Captains are an integral part of the Student Council.

 

Student Council: The Council consists of the Head boy and an Asst. Head Girl, Sports Captain and Asst. Sports Captain, the four House Captains and their Vice Captains, the Council Mistresses, and the four House Mistresses/ Masters. The Council meets regularly to analyse, organize and execute all school activities – both day-to-day and inter-house events. The maintenance of daily discipline is, to a large extent, in their hands. In this, they will be helped by every member of the start. Besides, as representatives and the voice of the student body, they are allowed to express themselves on any issue that is a cause of concern to the student body.

 

Nominations will be done by students, teachers and the Princrpal.

‘The Principal will, in consultation with the staff, decide on the final list of girls who are to stand for election.

From the elected list of students, the Principal will assign the following positions:

Head boy, Asst. Head Girl, Asst. Sports Captain, four House Captains and their Vice Captains.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF HEAD GIRL AND HEAD BOY:

> She / He should ensure that the leaders carry out their duties in a responsible and impartial manner.

> She/he should be constantly alert, observant and sensitive to the needs of the school and act promptly after consulting and getting orders from the Principal.

> She/he should show exemplary behavior with head held high, providing shining examples of leadership, trust courtesy, love and goodness.

> She/he should bring to the notice of teachers minor day to day problems of students like fights, misunderstandings, injuries damage to school property, missing articles etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CLASS LEADERS:

> The leaders have to realise that to be a leader is a special privilege and honour – To betray the the trust and confidence reposed in them is to commit a most degradan etc.

> They are employed for all assistance In the class eg. maintaining discipline, responding to concerns authorities about various needs of the class etc.

> The leaders will be responsible for all happenings in the class during the absence of teacher.

> lt is incumbent on all leaders to report to the Principal, the teacher \in charge or the class teacher among breach of discipline noticed even during the recess.

» Once in two months a meeting of leaders will be held for improving discipline and redressing grievances.
